Winter Solstice Celebration 17 – 18 th December 2022

We are having a Winter Solstice Celebration on 17 and 18th of December. This will be a heart warming and life affirming event – finding joy in being together in the depths of winter
darkness. It’s a busy time for everyone so we’ve have a schedule of activities so that people can choose to drop in for one or more parts and leave the rest or alternatively be here for the whole.

Saturday 17th December

Lunchtime bring and share meal.

Crafts afternoon using natural materials to create traditional yuletide objects like a wreaths, mantle piece or table decorations, yule logs. Also a large weaving of a willow archway in a
suitable location on the land.

Dinner – provided by Common Ground.

A Winter Solstice Community Ritual.

Evening celebrations including a bonfire, open mic – music, poetry, song , performance by the wonderful Harpist Ursula Burns.

Sunday 18th December

Early morning meditation and land mindfulness walk.

Breakfast – provided by Common Ground.

Heart Sharing Circle.

Open space for emergent themes and needs.

Lunch.
